About Me
Aash Durg is a 22-year-old guitarist, composer, band leader, educator, and alumni of the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. With a degree in Jazz Performance, he has played in numerous award-winning ensembles such as the FJO directed by multi-GRAMMY-winner John Daversa, the recent downbeat winning Funk-Fusion Ensemble under the guidance of Steve Rucker, and Frost Extensions with whom he toured under. He has worked alongside artists such as Dick Oatts, Terrell Stafford, Regina Carter, Michael Mayo, Peter Eldridge, and Marcus Strickland – the latter with whom he recorded his debut album with. He is a passionate musician who aims to cut a niche in the jazz world by gathering inspiration from his contemporary and world music background.
